1) Tips on creating a healthy lifestyle - Part 2
Most people realise that following a healthy lifestyle gives you the
best chance to attain good health. It is not always easy to carry this
out even with the best of intentions. Here are some more tips which
you may find useful:
A) The great benefits of walking and exercise
Often we can feel tired and exhausted. In working at our jobs our attention
becomes fixed on what we are doing. It usually becomes riveted on objects
with are only a few feet from you, such as your computer, your desk,
your car etc. After many hours doing this it is easy to see why one
becomes tired.
There is a simple action one can take to get rid of exhaustion, relieve
your stress and to extrovert from work and other anxieties. It is almost
laughable in its simplicity, but try it and see what you think!
Go for a walk!
Even if you don't feel like going, or feel too tired, either physically
or mentally, going for a walk can work wonders. Walk around your block,
neighbourhood or down your road. Walk around and most importantly look
at things!
Notice the houses, the gardens, the trees, the cars. Put your attention
out, extrovert from your job. Walk until you feel better and more alert.
You may find at first you become more tired. Don't stop at this point
but keep going with your walk and you will "walk off" your exhaustion.
The important factor is looking out at what is around you! You should
walk until you feel brighter and more invigorated.
The walk should last between 5 and 30 minutes and as well as helping
exercise your body you should also feel more refreshed mentally at the
end of it.
Try it and see!
B) Eat more fruit and vegetables and use a juicer
Many people do not eat enough fruit and vegetables. These foods contain
many healthy vitamins and minerals which are not found in other foods.
Try to eat organic fruit and vegetables where possible.
Fruit and vegetables are very convenient foods to eat and should become
your "snack foods" instead of fast food junk. Pop an apple in your bag
or an orange, banana or a carrot before going out. Very convenient and
very nutritious.
If you do cook your vegetables please try not to overcook them. This
will destroy many of the vitamins present. Gently steam them just long
enough to soften them. Alternatively you can grate most vegetables and
include them raw in a salad.
We would also recommend you buy and use the best juicer you can afford.
Juicing fruits and vegetables is a great way to boost your health. Juicing
allows you to get all of the nutrition whilst at the same time making
it very easy for your body to absorb the nutrients.

C) Laugh more often
Try to remain cheerful about things and have a positive outlook on life.

funny side of things and laugh instead of frowning. One may not always
feel like doing this and perhaps sometimes it is even inappropriate.
However, we can all learn to laugh a little more often.
Laughter is a gift. Do it more often and you will feel better and those
around you too will feel better as well.
D) Cut down on the amount of TV you watch
If you take an unbiased look at the facts of watching TV, you will find
that generally speaking most people watch far too much.
Often TV is full of bad news, one disaster after another, some dramatic
occurence or news slanted so heavily one way that you can't help but
feel a bit down after watching it.
Now I am not suggested that all TV is bad but if you actually analyse
it you will probably see that much of it is. As an experiment I encourage
you to cut down on the amount of TV you watch or even not to watch any
for a few days or even longer.
Try it and see if you feel any different. This advice also applies to
newspapers and other means of bringing bad news. How often has all this
bad news ever really affected you? Not often I would suggest. How often
has there been more good news on TV than bad? Not often.
So give it a go. Turn off the TV and develop the habit of not watching
it, instead of the habit of watching it unnecessarily, that most people
have developed.
If you really must watch TV then just watch the programs you really
want to watch and turn it off when it's over!

2) Good circulation is vital for health
Blood is the body's main internal transport system and proper circulation
is vital for good health. If you think of how the body works, the basic
action of the blood moving from cell to cell is of great importance to
your health and longevity. Exercise and walking have to be at the top
of the list for increasing circulation, but there are other things which
you can do to greatly increase your circulation.
Alternate hot and cold showers (a form of Hydrotherapy) is a powerful
way of improving your circulation. It is something you can do every day.
When you get hot under a shower the blood rushes to the skin and feeds
it. Then when you immediately put on the cold, the blood rushes to the
internal organs. You will probably shiver a bit, but what is happening
is that your blood is flushing out your skin and leaving it oxygenated.
Then when you turn it back to hot, the blood rushes from your internal
organs so flushing them too. Your circulation is increased just by the
action of your blood being forced rapidly around your body. This hot and
then cold water can be repeated up to 5 or 6 times for optimum results.
WARNING - Do not start straight away on very hot or very cold water.
Gradually increase the temperature difference between the hot and cold
water over a period of a few weeks so that it is not too much of a shock
to the system. This single action can dramatically improve your circulation
and health over time.
You don't have to start with the whole body. You can start with just an
injured body part, such as a bad leg, sore hand, stiff neck or shoulder
etc.
The thought of a cold shower even on a small part of the body can put
people off from doing it. However, you don't have to start with freezing
cold water. Use common sense and even applying this water treatment with
some temperature difference is better than nothing. It will increase the
blood flow to the area and help in your recovery.
Start with a warm shower and then after a few minutes turn down the temperature
a little. Shower like this for 30 seconds to a minute. Then gently turn
the heat up a little until it is nice and warm again. Alternate in this
fashion between warm and cool for a few minutes. As you get used to this
you can gently increase the heat and likewise gently increase the cold
water etc. Under no circumstances should the water get so hot that it
burns or is painful. Use common sense.
One last point on this is that you don't have to be ill or injured to
use this technique. Anyone can benefit from doing so. But use common sense
and seek the opinion of your health practitioner if you want it.
Using herbs to boost circulation
There are a few herbs which can help to improve the circulation of the
blood from inside the body. Two of the best herbs to increase circulation
are Cayenne and Ginkgo Biloba.
When Cayenne is used as a circulatory stimulant, it feeds the necessary

so helping to normalize the blood flow. By helping to equalize the blood
